am not currently an astrophotographer mostly cause i dont have the equipment & would rather direct them captured photons to my eye , not pricey machinery. Would be happy to have you for an observing session/sky tour & am closer than u may think. You can simply pop on i77 north to the Va. line, to top of the mt. on blue ridge parkway - in other words, u can be @ the observing site ~ 2 hrs
